The T2 of the BLR Airport can be experienced virtually in three dimensions (3D) thanks to the work of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Polygon on the Metaport.
Customers will have new ways to interact with the airport, including checking into flights, navigating terminals, shopping, and social aspects like connecting with other travelers, thanks to the 3D interface of the BLR Metaport, designed to deliver an enhanced digital experience for travelers.
According to the statement, interested passengers and the general public can visit www.blrmetaport.com to virtually tour and explore the brand-new, cutting-edge terminal using their smart devices.
Metaport is a product of the Joint Innovation Centre (JIC), which BIAL, AWS, and Intel announced in April 2022. The JIC’s main objective is to promote the creation and use of digital aviation solutions.

According to the statement, the JIC’s goal is to “leverage emerging technologies to build new business models, enhance passenger experiences, and lead technology innovation in India’s commercial aviation.”

“This is our first foray into the world of Web3 and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and we aim to delight travelers with a unique, immersive, and virtual experience,” said Satyaki Raghunath, chief strategy and development officer at BIAL.
Built on the principles of decentralization, where control and decision-making are transferred from a centrally located entity to a distributed network, Metaport makes use of the “Polygon Blockchain.” According to the statement, the BLR Metaport platform is built on AWS.
