Payroll company ADP announced a partnership with business-to-business payment company Convera, according to a Tuesday press release.
The two companies have collaborated since February to integrate Convera’s payments services into ADP’s payroll software so the latter can offer its clients in 70 countries integrated payments services as well.
Bundling payroll and payments into one platform is aimed at helping ADP customers “gain efficiencies and reduce manual complexities,” the release said.
“We look forward to this significant and strategic collaboration to serve ADP’s global client base and evolve our integrated payments ecosystem together,” Convera CEO Patrick Gauthier said in the release.
The tie allows ADP a “new way to manage global payroll payments with an end-to-end integrated solution,” ADP Celergo Streamline President Frank Smits said in the release.
Roseland, New Jersey-based ADP has about one million clients globally and processes about $3.1 trillion in payroll and tax payments annually, according to an infographic from the company’s latest quarterly report.
Seattle-based Convera was formed two years ago when Western Union sold its B2B and cross-border payment unit to private equity firm Goldfinch Partners and investment firm The Baupost Group for $910 million. The company has about 30,000 customers in some 200 countries and territories.
ADP and Convera did not immediately respond to questions about the details of their partnership.
