For a long time now, NFTs have taken centre stage in the cryptocurrency industry. Investors have started to prefer NFTs over crypto coins, and consequently, their dealings have increased too. Recently, Binance NFT posted this on their Twitter account –

This thread congratulates 50 winners who have won 50 BUSDs each. BUSD is a stablecoin issued by Binance, which stands for Binance US Dollar. It is backed by the US dollar in a 1:1 ratio and approved by the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS).

What was the contest really about?

A tweet in the thread specifies that the grand contest is to celebrate Binance’s partnership with EX Sports. The latter is a blockchain-based fan engagement platform & game publisher, with its focus primarily being on promoting fans and athletes of peculiar, niche sports.

Held from 27th April to 1st May, the contest asked the participants to complete all given tasks. The occasion was the launch of a mystery box on 3rd May 2022, which had NFT collections by Urbanball.

What was in the Mystery Box?

The mystery box is currently sold out and was priced at only 50 BUSD each. All the characters featured in the said game have a unique story, and this game seeks to highlight their achievements. Talking about its benefit to buyers, the official website of Binance says, “…with so much upside and earning potential; we are truly rewarding the early adopters of this project.” Owners of these NFT cards will also earn a passive income by lending the skill cards to other players. The rarer NFTs will see an exponential price rise as their chances of victory are higher.

Binance has announced the names of the 50 lucky winners through Twitter. While many suspect it to be fake, some users claim to be among the winners.
