BINANCE.US To Set up a Digital Office in Metaverse
Binance.US is a popular Cryptocurrency exchange and is soon going to enter the metaverse. Metaverse is said to be a virtual space where users can meet and interact with each other but – digitally. Because of the global pandemic, many people have been working and learning from home since past two years. As due to these circumstances, people spend majority of their time online, at the comfort of their homes, building a metaverse space is a really smart move by Binance.US.
This metaverse of Binance.US is going to be on Portals. Portals is a metaverse platform that is able to recreate real – life spaces. Users are able to enter the metaverse, explore the digital space and also interact virtually.
“We are very happy to announce a new collaboration for Portals Downtown: @BinanceUS! Drop by to get the latest news from Binance.US, attend events, view charts, and enter special giveaways. Stay tuned for the Binance.US space reveal! 😃🎉”, said Portals in a tweet on 5th January, 2022.
With Facebook changing the name of its company to Meta, a lot of buzz is being created around the word- Metaverse. From the age-old internet to Web 2.0, and now to Web 3.0, the world is finally ready to take a leap in the digital world. Cryptocurrency in itself is a digital currency, and with Binance.US, one of the leading crypto exchange platforms venturing into the Metaverse, digital spaces are now going to dominate the crypto industry, if not the rest of the world.
Portals spokesperson reportedly told CoinDesk, “Binance.US is getting a space in Portals Downtown with a focus on delivering the latest news, charts, and events virtually.” Binance.US spokesperson Zachary Tindall said, “We are creating a space in the metaverse for the Binance.US community to come together. It’s the first of many steps we’re taking to be forward-looking as we build and reach our community in new environments.”, in a conversation with CoinDesk.
With other companies like Facebook, Apple, Niantly, Epic Games etc. entering the metaverse, the value of space is becoming expensive too. BTC PEERS reported that on metaverse platforms like The Sandbox and Decentraland, the price of the cheapest space is over $10,000. They run on the Ethereum blockchain. Other crypto platforms to have a presence on Solana blockchain based- Portals, are Magic Eden, Raydium, Audiys and Bonafida.
So far, it might look like only metaverse is helping cryptocurrency but, it is also the other way around. Metaverse being a digital space, users need a digital currency to buy things here. What to buy, you ask? Anything from digital homes to digital clothes.
With this, it can be concluded that with Binance.US setting up its digital office on the Solana blockchain based Portals, it is going to pave newer benchmarks in the development of the crypto industry as well as the metaverse.
