Recently, MetaMask, a popular cryptocurrency wallet provider, announced the integration of Apple Pay integration to its website and app. Though Apple doesn’t directly support crypto payments, people using MetaMask will be redirected to Wyre. Wyre is a crypto exchange that enables buying and selling of cryptocurrency so that the users have the option to make the payment via credit or debit card through Apple Pay.

Consumers of Apple products can now deposit upto $400 each day into their wallet using their Visa or Mastercards and the Wyre API.

For the inexperienced, MetaMask is a crypto wallet service provider that allows its consumers to store cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Etherium, and even NFTs. In addition, it allows people to connect to over more than 3,700 different decentralized applications and Web 3 services.

Recently the crypto company announced a new slew of updates on Twitter. To increase any cryptocurrency, MetaMask charges a gas fee, and its transaction fee is 0.875 percent of the total transaction. According to MetaMask, it does not earn anything from the gas fee but whatever they earn is from the transaction fee that they charge.

Apple Pay platforms must complete the KYC (know-your-customer) process and must come into notice. In addition to this, the company has also added support for private blockchains. The company tweeted that some networks allow for gasless transactions (e.g., private blockchains or when a project pays for the gas on your behalf), further adding that it now supports these transactions.

According to the recent press release held in March, MetaMask said that it exceeded 30 million monthly active users, making it one of the most popular crypto wallets available today.

In other news, MetaMask said that it prohibits all accounts based in certified countries by the US government. This development comes after the US and its allies forced sanctions on Russia following Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine. ConsenSys, the parent company of MetaMask, said that it observes US sanctions on “Iran, Cuba, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.”
