USI Consulting Group, a retirement plan consulting and benefit administration firm owned by USI Insurance Services, has acquired Hooker & Holcombe, a wealth management firm providing integrated actuarial, investment advisory and retirement plan consulting services.
Based in Bloomfield, Conn., H&H employs 68 professionals led by President Richard Sych. The firm has served regional municipal, corporate and non-profit organizations since 1956, providing solutions for the planning, execution and management of retirement plans. H&H manages around $477.5 million for 67 clients, according to a Form ADV filed in late March.
“H&H has built a strong reputation for delivering effective retirement plan solutions that exceed client expectations,” Sych said in a statement. “We look forward to advancing this longstanding tradition of service excellence through our partnership with USI Consulting Group.”

Wise Rhino Group, an M&A advisory practice representing retirement and wealth advisory, third-party administration and fintech firms, advised Hooker & Holcombe on the transaction. Terms were not disclosed.
