It’s no secret finance and economics historically have been dominated, like much else in world history, by men. Thanks to some of the industry’s pioneering women leaders, however, that dynamic appears to be shifting.

The World Economic Forum’s annual gender gap study revealed women held 30% of the leadership roles in financial services in 2022, up from just 21% in 2019. Parity may still be a long way off, but we can thank these ladies for driving holes into a glass ceiling that seems increasingly ready to break.
