HashKey Capital Limited, an institutional asset management company based in Hong Kong, stated that it had obtained a Type 9 asset management license, which is a license to operate a company engaged in asset management’s regulated activities.
This license has been secured by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) of Hong Kong, which is the independent statutory authority in charge of overseeing Hong Kong’s securities and futures markets, enabling it to manage portfolios that are entirely composed of cryptocurrencies, i.e. a 100% of the investments are made in crypto.
As per reports from the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) of Hong Kong, HashKey Capital Limited is one among just a few licensed virtual asset management firms in the city (Hong Kong), along with Seychelles-based leading crypto exchange company Huobi and Sheung Wan-based hedge fund management firm MaiCapital Limited.
Dr Xiao Feng, the Chairman of HashKey Group, said that their dedication to promoting the blockchain community and helping it make progress, not just in Hong Kong but throughout Asia as well, is strengthened by the Type 9 asset management license.
HashKey Group, which is Asia’s end-to-end digital asset financial services group, amassed a 360 Million US Dollars new blockchain fund early this year, and it has since made investments in notable projects, including the open source blockchain platform and cryptocurrency Polkadot, and the decentralized exchange (DEX) platform dYdX.
HashKey Capital Limited is an investment management firm that invests only in virtual assets and blockchain technology. The firm gives distinctive accessibility to the network of connections in one of the biggest financial and industrial conglomerate companies globally, combining the swiftness and autonomous risk-taking typically found in the finest venture businesses.
The company is said to have extensive expertise in the regional blockchain ecosystem, being among Asia’s highly experienced investors in blockchain internationally. They have even established a network that links business owners, regulators, developers, investors, and community members.
